"Sunset is wonderful" and the "view of Lake Champlain incredible" for those who manage to score "a waterfront room" at this hotel with an "unbeatable" location "close to the Church Street malls" and Downtown Burlington; though it's "on the older side", ongoing renovations should remedy complaints of "run-down" rooms, and if guests grumble about paying a fee for parking and Internet usage, they also give high marks to the "personable" staff, indoor pool and "huge hot tub."

The location was fabulous!

The hotel location was fabulous, however the hotel itself was OK. Not as nice as expected.

Location.
Very overpriced unremarkable hotel with unfriendly staff.

High price for a boring run of the mill hotel. They must be enjoying the lack of competition near the location. Staff is irritating rude and or inefficient. Burlington is cool but this hotel does little to help Burlington or Hilton seem a positive experience there. ...read more

Amazing view, modern decor.
Room smelled musty, like a wet dog. The room should have had a fridge.

Although the exterior looks outdated, the rooms are updated with modern decor. The room I stayed it smelled musty, but that could be because of the large pool in the building. The best reason to stay at the Hilton is the incredible view of Lake Champlain, and its proximity to Burlington's many excellent restaurants and shops. Makes a great "base camp" for almost all summer-time Vermont adventures. ...read more

It was conveniently located.
They could not accommodate our request to get a lake view room.

I was fairly disappointed. I have received better accommodations from a Holiday Inn Express or Best Western. This really made me decide once and for all that I will never try to stay at a high end hotel ever again. Also, they tried to nickel and dime me for everything. I had to pay for parking. I know that is sometimes required, but the second night would have been free parking anyway and I got charged all the same. ...read more

Location.
Really small room, TV didn't work either.

We loved the location near town and on the lake. The room was small and our TV didn't work. It was fixed, but after two requests. The restaurant was overpriced for breakfast, we thought.
